How Does Titan Work?
As time marches on our collagen fibers become loose and stretched out, thus causing our skin to appear loose and stretched out. By using Infrared light, the Titan gently heats the dermis and causes the collagen fibers to contract and tighten. This effect can be seen by most patients immediately following the treatment with a lifting and tightening of the skin. The same light energy also stimulates the body to increase it’s production of collagen over the next 1 to 3 months, thereby continuing the skin tightening process to more healthy radiant skin!

How many treatments will I need?

What are the treatments like?
Depending upon the area(s) treated the procedure can last 1-2 hours. Chilled gel is applied over the area being treated for safety and comfort. Most patients report little to no discomfort during their Titan treatment. Following the treatment there may be mild redness that typically resolves in a matter of a few hours. Many patients will notice a “tight”sensation of their skin. There are no restrictions following the Titan procedure and patients can immediately return to normal activities. How does the Titan compare to Thermage?
Titan’s infrared technology offers safer, more comfortable treatment for patients, compared to Thermage and radiofrequency. In numerous studies Titan also demonstrated a higher percentage of patients had excellent improvement in skin tightening (Dermatologic Surgery May 2006).
