Now men and women alike are making unsightly facial and leg veins a thing
of the past, thanks to the Cutera Xeo laser. No more painful injections!
With the most advanced technology, a unique design, and a longer wavelength,
the Cutera laser can safely and effectively treat both tiny superficial
facial veins and deeper blue legs veins on men and women of all skin tones.
The laser delivers a pulse of light energy which causes the blood within
the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel which is later
reabsorbed by your body. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins
deeper below your skin’s surface, where it should be.
The laser can safely and effectively remove unsightly veins from all
parts of the body. Small, facial veins can be treated quickly without
complication. Spider veins and large blue legs veins (reticular veins)
of the legs can also be treated with excellent results. Varicose veins
are not good candidates for treatment with the Cutera Xeo laser. A careful
evaluation by one of our trained Medical Providers can help determine
which veins can be treated and the best course of treatment.
Often patients find that one to three treatments for facial veins are
sufficient for optimal results. The number of treatments needed for
leg veins are based upon the number and size of vessels requiring treatment
with the laser. We can better determine the number of treatments needed
for leg veins during the initial consultation.

Most patients experience a stinging sensation as the pulses of energy
are delivered through the laser handpiece. Many people describe the
sensation as that similar to a “snapping rubber band”. Although
no local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required, many patients
opt to use a topical anesthetic cream prior to treatment. Following
the treatment, the discomfort is minimal to nonexistent.
Following your treatment, some redness or swelling may occur. These
effects typically last for less than 24 hours. Some patients may experience
bruising and, in rare instances, blistering may occur. When larger veins
are treated, a tan pigment may persist for 4-12 weeks after your treatment.
Patients can resume most normal activities immediately after their treatment.
However, it is recommended that you avoid vigorous activities and sun/heat
exposure for the first 24 hours after your treatment.
Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown
significant improvement with two to six weeks of treatment. However,
your final results may no be apparent for several months. Larger leg
veins can take up to 9 months to complete reabsorb. Over, time it is
possible for new veins to appear, but these too can be treated with
the laser.
